Announcements:

On July 2, during the recent Fourth of July weekend, the Town of Clover office was added to the list of victims of break-ins and thefts in the area. We ask you to be on the lookout for suspicious activity in your neighborhood and community and keep your ears open for anyone boasting about successful burglaries. Unfortunately, this is a county wide problem and the Bayfield County Sherriff’s Department can use any help we can give them.

Business: Discussion and action may occur on any of the following agenda items.

Presentation by Jim Wittinghill of Republic Services regarding solid waste transfer.

Proposals to purchase new turnout gear for the Herbster Volunteer Fire Department. Turnout gear has a limited shelf life and some of the gear used by the HVFD is past the expiration date.

Application for Short-Term Rental License renewal for the property at 89015 Bark Point Road by Yuriko Vaughan.

Application for Short-Term Rental License renewal for the property at 89330 Bark Point Road by Michael and Sara Vanasse.

Application for Short-Term Rental License renewal for the property at 90590 Bark Point Road by Gregory Wilson.

* Towns may adopt an alternative claims procedure ordinance under Wis. Stat. § 60.44(2) that provides an expedited process for paying all or select types of bills. This ordinance delegates primary approval authority to the clerk and allows signed checks to be distributed by the treasurer before being approved by the town board. Clerks then present a monthly list of paid claims to the town board for approval after the fact.
