Town of Clover – Meeting Minutes

Special Board Meeting

February 18, 2026, at 6:00 pm in the Town Hall (gym).  Located at 86870 Lenawee Road Herbster, WI

Call to order at 6:00 p.m.

Roll call:  Mark Pope, Erik Felt, Donna Lundin, and Kristin Mintzlaff. Not present: Brandon Madison and Randy Kohlman.

In attendance: Rich Rogers, Roger Branham, Jeff Byerhof, Lois Palmer, Dave DeMeyere, Jody DeMeyere and Joe Katzenberger.

 

BUSINESS:

Discussion: Fire Department

Discussion was held regarding the Herbster, Cornucopia and Port Wing Fire Departments. Representatives from each fire department discussed their concerns about staffing issues and equipment costs. Herbster has 9 members, Cornucopia 14 members and Port Wing 12 members on their fire departments. Consolidating the fire departments was discussed, but all departments agree that they already work well together with mutual aid.  Duel response center was discussed between Herbster and Cornucopia.  Cornucopia and Port Wing also suggested that they could do more training together.  Cornucopia has training every 1^st Tuesday at 7:00 pm and Port Wings training is every 3^rd Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
