Business:

Discussion and possible action related to the following:

The Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) makes money available to local governmental units through a county run program. There remains $19,205.47 to be awarded and at this time the Town of Clover is at the top of the priority list. In other words that money is Clover’s for the asking. LRIP requires a 50% match and if we submit a proposal to place gravel on our roads, our gravel budget can pay for Clover’s 50%. LRIP operates on a biennial basis. The chair would like to propose two projects as discussed with the Town road crew. The first would place gravel on Lenawee Road from Gravel Pit Road to Seven Mile Road in 2022. The second project would place gravel on Bark River Road from Clover Cemetery Road to Shortcut Road in 2023. The intent would be to complete the gravel placement by June 30 of each year so that the reimbursement request could be submitted in time for the LRIP match to be available early August for the purchase of additional gravel.

Motion by: Isaksson/sStemwedel to apply for LRIP grant in the amount of $19205.47. Carried Unanimous.
