Announcements:

On July 2, during the recent Fourth of July weekend, the Town of Clover office was added to the list of victims of break-ins and thefts in the area. We ask you to be on the lookout for suspicious activity in your neighborhood and community and keep your ears open for anyone boasting about successful burglaries. Unfortunately, this is a county wide problem and the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department can use any help we can give them.

To date, this continues to be a problem in our county and your vigilance is advised and appreciated.

Business: Discussion and action may occur on any of the following agenda items.

Renewal of policy with Rural Mutual Insurance Company.

Class A Special Use Permit for one short-term rental at 85990 Buckley Rd in A-1 zoning by Peter Spooner and Jean Larson.

Request of 5-day camping and boat launch donation as a raffle prize for the Corn and Brat Fest by the Herbster Community Club.

Recommendations of Bayfield County Ad Hoc EMS Advisory Committee. Use this link to read entire report: https://www.bayfieldcounty.wi.gov/DocumentCenter/View/13776/EMS-Committee-Report

Expenses vs. budget for 2022.

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus for Herbster Volunteer Fire Department.

Requesting 2023 budget wish lists by end of August.

* Towns may adopt an alternative claims procedure ordinance under Wis. Stat. § 60.44(2) that provides an expedited process for paying all or select types of bills. This ordinance delegates primary approval authority to the clerk and allows signed checks to be distributed by the treasurer before being approved by the town board. Clerks then present a monthly list of paid claims to the town board for approval after the fact.
