Board Meeting       

July 12 at 7:00 pm in the Meeting Room of the Town of Clover Town Hall/Historic Gymnasium.

NOTE:  feel free to come into the Meeting Room any time, the door may be closed to conserve heat.

The public is invited to attend, you may walk at any time even though the door is closed—for heat conservation–, you will need to sign for the record, but there is no requirement to sign in separately if you wish to speak during the Public Comment Periods.  You may comment on anything that is not on the agenda during the General “Public Comments”.  You may comment on any specific Agenda Item prior to the Commissioners discussion.  All comments by a specific person will be limited to three (3) minutes.

NOTE:  Packets are available for review at the office 1/2 hour prior to the Regular Board Meeting.  This would be at 6:30pm

  • Transfer Station: Summer Hours, started May 3 are Saturdays, 9:00am to 1:00pm & Wednesdays, 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
  • Residential Hazardous, Prescription & Electronic Waste Collection, September 23rd, 2023, Great Lakes Visitors Center

Announcements: 

  • Gym Users: PLEASE change into gym shoes prior to using the gym.  PLEASE put the equipment away after use.  There have been some mornings when the Town Officials have come in and found balls lying around on the floor or stage, and the pickle ball net has not been returned to its carrier.  There is no employee available to pick up after your use.  There is no fee for use of the gym.  You are responsible for picking up after your use.

      • Date for Adoption by Board: (Hopefully can be at next Regularly Scheduled Board Meeting—August 9) (Plan Commission Resolution #20230627, Recommending Adoption of the Town of Clover 2023+2043 Comprehensive Plan)
    • Discussion/Likely Action: related to Short Term Rental Initial Permit Requests:
      • & J. Schierman: 86650(?) Lenawee Road
      • Downs: 89340 Bark Point Road
    • Discussion: regarding requirements/probable plan for virtual government meetings—Felt
    • Discussion: regarding implications for the Town related recent changes by the state, including Act 12 of the State with particular emphasis on Public Safety, Shared Revenues (Transportation Funding) & new Absentee Ballot Envelopes (Koles, Ruth & Carlson reports, WTA July Magazine)
    • Discussion/Possible Action related to the possibility of holding some of TOC money in a CD–Felt

    • Discussion/Possible Action: related to Bark Point Road Repair from Hesse Road northeast to the west driveway of the Boman property
    • Discussion/Likely Action: related to Steele hiring Back Up General Maintenance Attendant after the applicant pool closes (likely July 24) and prior to the Regular August Board Meeting–Steele
    • Discussion/Possible Action: related to issues around driveway snow plowing by the Town–Felt
