Ordinance #20210310-1, Amendment to Ordinance #20150408, Sewer Use Ordinance Section VIII, D.

 

The purpose of this Amendment is to further specify the precise date when a 5% penalty will be added to bills not paid.  There is ambiguity in the current wording: “…shall be payable on or before the 29^th day after the due date on the bill. …not paid on or before the 29^th day after the due date on the bill.”

 

Therefore, be it Ordained that Section VIII, D. shall read:

 

All charges for sewerage service shall be billed, (January, April, July, and October) and shall be payable on the 29^th day after the billing date specified on a given bill.  A 5% penalty will be added to those payments not received by the Treasurer on or before the 29^th day after the billing date on the bill.

 

This Change to the Ordinance shall be in effect from March 11, 2021.
