Resolution #20210414-1A use of FAP money for expenses related to

South Shore Ambulance Association (SSAA) for 2020

 

• Whereas, on December 31, 2020 there was $6,843 in the FAP account, and
• Whereas, in 2020 the Town received $1,741.54 in FAP money from the state to be used only for emergency medical technician (EMT) or emergency medical responder (EMR) expenses related to initial or refresher training, as well as examination costs, and
• Whereas, if the $1,741.54 in FAP money received from the state in 2020 is not expended on EMT or EMR expenses related to initial or refresher training, as well as examination costs in 2020, this money must be returned to the state, and
• Whereas, in 2020 $4,559.62 was expended on both EMT and EMR refresher training expenses, and
• Whereas, in 2020 the Town expended greater than $1,741.54 on both EMT and EMR refresher training expenses, and
• Whereas, in 2020 the Town received $3,637.50 for, among other things emergency medical service supplies over budget, and
• Whereas, in 2020 the expenses for Medical Expenses and Specialized Medical expenses exceeded the budget minus COVID reimbursements by $3,530.00,
• Now Therefore Be It Resolved that $1,741.54 for expenses for refresher for both EMT and EMR training expenses be utilized from the FAP account to cover this SSAA Expense, and
• Be It Further Resolved that $3,530.00 expense form Medical Supplies & Specialized Medical supplies over budget be utilized from the FAP account to cover this SSAA Expense,
• Thus, the Total SSAA expenses covered by the FAP account is $5,271.54.
