Ordinance #6-A, Travel Trailer, Motor Home, Fifth Wheel

 

The Town Board of the Town of Clover, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 60.74, hereby ordains as follows:

  1. Travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, motor homes and any other unit less than fifty feet in length and twelve feet in width shall not be allowed in the platted areas of Orchard City or the Robert Bartlett additions or the area served by the Town of Clover Sanitary District unless otherwise approved by the Clover Town Board.

1a.  Conditional approval may be granted by the town board for temporary placement of one of the above described units if it is used as a temporary (no more than one year) dwelling while building a house meeting all county, sanitary district, and town zoning requirements.

1b.  The above described units may be stored by the homeowner on their lot provided the unit is currently licensed. The unit is to be parked for storage only.

1c.  An above described unit may be parked for a time not to exceed 15 (fifteen days) in the yard of a relative. There may be only one of these units in a yard at a time. The yard described for the purpose of this ordinance to mean the lot on which the home is located. These units are not to be placed on empty lots or parcels.

1d.  Any unit as described above that has been in place before May 4, 1978 and which is not in conformance with this ordinance, may be continued subject to the conditions of the Bayfield County Zoning Ordinance, Section 11.01.

1e. No units will be parked on town roads, vacant lots, and/or alleys.

  1. For all areas not described in number one above, county zoning ordinances are now in effect and will remain in effect. For a copy of these ordinances contact Bayfield County Zoning Department at the Courthouse Annex in Washburn, Wisconsin.
  2. Failure to comply with this ordinance will result in a penalty not to exceed $20.00 per day.
  3. If one of the above units are to be temporarily placed (15 days) the homeowner must notify the town board in writing of the starting date and the expected departure date.
  4. This ordinance shall take effect upon the completion of all the following:

A.  Passage by two-thirds of the Town Board

B.  Proper posting and publication

ADOPTED by the Town Board of the Town of Clover the 10th day of June, 1992.
