Ordinance #20160113-2, Provisional Operator’s License

 

Whereas the Town Board of the Town of Clover, Bayfield County has specific authority under §125.17(5).  This Ordinance replaces Ordinance #5, adopted the 13th day of January, 1993.

Whereas a Provisional Operator’s license shall be issued upon request only when said person has filed for an Operator’s License, and

Whereas payment has been received for the fee for the Operator’s License, and

Whereas payment of $15.00 has been received for a Provisional Operator’s License, and

Whereas the said person has presented a copy of a valid operator’s license issued by another municipality, or

Whereas a provisional license may be issued to any person who has applied for an Operator’s license and paid the fee for the Operator’s license, and

Whereas a provisional license expires not more than 60 days from the time of it’s issuance or the Operator’s license is issued, whichever comes first, and

Whereas the certified operator’s license from another municipality has not expired, and

Whereas the Town Board may designate a Town Official to authorize Provisional Operator’s Licenses, and

Whereas the Town Official designated to authorize Provisional Operator’s Licenses has the authority to revoke the Provisional License for:

  • discovery that the holder of the Provisional License made false statements on the application, or
  • determines that the license issued by another municipality is not valid, or
  • upon denial of a person’s application for the Operator’s License.

 

Now, therefore, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Board of Clover, of Bayfield County, pursuant to §125.17(5) Provisional Operator’s Licenses shall be issued, and

Further, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED that the Town Clerk be given the authority to issue Provisional Operator’s Licenses in accordance with this Ordinance.
