Town of Clover

Ordinance #08-0001, Regulate Snowmobiles within the Town of Clover,

Bayfield County, Wisconsin

 

The legal governing body of the Town of Clover in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, meeting in regular session on the 12th day of November 2008 does ordain the following.

  1. All regulations regarding recreational Snowmobiles as defined in section 340.1 (2g) and State Statues 23.33 and NR 24 enacted by the State of Wisconsin which are not covered by this Ordinance are in full force and effect.
  2. Snowmobiles shall be operated on the right hand side of the road, shall display lighted headlamp and tail lamp and shall travel single file.
  3. Snowmobiles shall come to a complete stop at all intersections of State, County and Town roads within the Town of Clover.
  4. Snowmobiles shall not exceed the speed of 45 miles per hour when operated on all roads within the Town of Clover.
  5. Any infringement of the ordinance shall be punishable in accordance with the penalties established under the Wisconsin State Statues.
  6. All Snowmobiles must display proper registration as required by the State of Wisconsin.
  7. Operation of Snowmobiles shall be lawful only on roads designated by Snowmobile route signs.

Copies of this Ordinance shall be filed with the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Madison and the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department, Washburn, Wisconsin
