Regular Board Meeting

October 9, 2024

Minutes

Call to order: 7:00 pm

Roll Call: Present:  Steele, Madison, Smith, Gillespey, Pope, Felt. Absent Mintzlaff, Morelli, Lois Palmer, Mark Filonowich, James Stemwedel, Pete Berton.

Pledge of Allegiance:

NOTE:  The Regular Town of Clover Meeting will be adjourned at or about 8:00 pm.  The Chair may reorder the agenda to accommodate the time limit. 

Calendar:

• Transfer Station now in summer hours–Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm until October 1, then Winter Hours will be in effect, eliminating Wednesday hours.

Expenditures: Motion by: Pope/sMadison to approve batch T-1009.  Carried unanimous.

 

BUSINESS: (NOTE: Public Comments specific to any Main Heading, i.e. Government, Public Works etc. of the agenda will be taken prior to that agenda section, these will be limited to 3 minutes per speaker.  Following this, the discussion will be limited to Elected Officials (unless an Elected Official requests specific information from a member of the Public)

• Presentation by James Stemwedel on School Referendum informational.

    • Security system for Gym: camera purchases. Pope
    • Motion by: Madison/sSteele to purchase 6 ring live cameras for the interior and exterior of the gym with plan. Carried unanimous.
    • initiating a Room Tax for the Town of Clover and all that entails—I. Morelli Deferred.
    • Discussion Only related to the Proposed Budget for 2024—Steele (see Packets) By consensus: Special meeting October 16^th 5:30 for more discussion.
  • Public Works: Public Comment regarding any of the items in this section
    • Discussion/Likely Action related to: Initiating the Process for Hiring a Highway and General Maintenance Operator—Steele
    • Motion by: Felt/sSteele to authorize chairperson to hire temporary crew members as the qualify with job description. Carried unanimous.
  • Culture, Education and Recreation: Public Comment regarding any of the items in this section
    • Discussion/Likely Action related to: Daily Rates for Campers at the Campground—Smith/Morelli (see packets)
    • Motion by: Steele/sFelt to keep camping rates the same and add dumping fees to rate list. Carried unanimous.
