July 10, 2024

Minutes

Call to order: 7:00 pm

Roll Call: Present:  Steele, Madison, Smith, Gillespey, Mintzlaff, Morelli, Pope by phone, absent Felt. Marshawn Pikus, Roger Pikus, Lois Palmer, Mark Filonowich, Tom Wissing, Peter Wagner, Kim Scott, John Marks, Patti Stemwedel, Maureen Felt, Toni Holly, Tim Heistein, John Mundahl, Joe Katzenberger, Joesph Abhold, James Stemwedel.

NOTE:  The Regular Town of Clover Meeting will be adjourned at or about 8:00 pm.  The Chair may reorder the agenda to accommodate the time limit.

Calendar: 

  • Open Book: Saturday, July 13 from 8:00am to 10:00 am in the Town of Clover Town Hall/Historic Gymnasium
  • Board of Review: Saturday, July 20 from 8:00am to 10:00 am in the Town of Clover Town Hall/Historic Gymnasium
  • Primary Elections: Tuesday, August 13.  Poles are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm in the Town of Clover Town Hall/Historic Gymnasium
  • Transfer Station now in summer hours–Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm

  • Motion: to approve batch T-0710 by Pope/sMadison Carried Unanimously.

                                    Road review will take place on July 24th at 12:00 p.m.  Please meet at the gym.

  • Future Agenda Items:
    • Discussion/Perhaps Action related to replacing BPR culverts between Hesse Road and Bowman west driveway, not including those on the hill plus the culvert going toward Bark Bay Road from BPR on Lefty’s Road that currently moves the drainage from the hill. Likely contingent upon 2025 Budget proposal

Ferral Gas would like to do a presentation at next month’s meeting.

 

Reports

            TPC: Meeting cancelled.

  • Ambulance: Steele – 9 requests, 5 transports, 2 mutual aid.
  • Fire Department: Steele – 0 calls.
  • Health and Human Services:

Cemetery:  Madison – Tree trimming and picking up limbs.

Education Culture and Recreation:

Campground:  Smith –New employee hired to clean the bathrooms and support camp hosts.

Playground:  Madison – Ramp fixed; mats are missing.

Boat Parking: Pope – No issues.

Bark Bay Slough:  Pope – No issues.

Bayfield County intern will be responsible for placing and taking down the swim at your own risk signage that will be placed at the following areas, campground parking lot, playground, Fisherman’s Park, and two signs on the beach.

Roads:

                        Flooding disaster work has been completed.
